Overview:

J-Spot Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our Connect team. The ideal candidate will primarily be responsible for the installation and maintenance of cabling in residential environments for fiber to the home (FTTH) applications and some network wiring in commercial applications. This includes the customer drop installation, termination, testing of network and fiber optic cables, and equipment installation. Key Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test network and fiber optic cables in residential & commercial environments.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with industry standards.
• Diagnose and resolve cabling issues efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in fiber optic and/or low voltage cabling is required.
• Strong social and problem-solving skills.
• Clean-cut, professional appearance.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Able to safely operate basic hand & power tools.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Weekly travel is required.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently moving, transporting, and positioning objects weighing at least 60 pounds or more.
• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, poles, and similar structures using feet, legs, hands, and arms.
• Must be able to climb rooftops of all types and perform job duties from high places.
• Frequently required to use hand and power tools.

Working Environment Hazards:

• Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Working in confined spaces, which may include attics, basements, and crawl spaces.
• Potential exposure to dust, dirt, and other airborne particles.
